A new typeface for the new brand identity of The AA

Corporate typography | design: Elmwood | customer: The AA

The AA (The Automobile Association) worked alongside design studio Elmwood to change the brand’s visual identity. A brand with so many years needed to update to the contemporary world and at Typotype we worked on its own typography for the prestigious Association.

Elmwood select Fieldwork typeface of our catalogue and asked us to work on some details. The AA Sans is the result of rounded corners and terminals, a greater slant in italic variants and changes in letters “e”, “i” and “r” that make a the typefaces with its own identity.
