Mother Design studio worked to create an identity system for Major League Baseball and looked back to baseball’s visual history to bring its most iconic expressions into the future. They tooked an interesting path thinking how they could use their typographic heritage and shared visual language to celebrate where they meet and where they come from.

Mother Design made a curated collection of baseball’s greatest types and asked different american foundries to design each style of typeface. We collaborate designing a flared serif typography calling back to the particulars of hand-lettering that brings a touch of warmth and charm that feels uniquely baseball.
